FUNDAMENTALS OF P2/ENGAGEMENT
This course is suitable for practitioners working as a member of a P2/engagement team, contributing to engagement activities.
This course is suitable for practitioners who already have substantial experience in P2/engagement work and are ready to be leading this work with others.
The Global Learning Pathway (GLP) IAP2 Global Certificate in P2/Engagement comprises a new suite of courses that can be combined in a variety of ways to create the new five-day certificate programme.
The courses are delivered by accredited IAP2 trainers. As a regional affiliate, IAP2SA’s job is to ensure sufficient training opportunities are scheduled and delivered each year in southern Africa, and beyond.
The training sub-committee strives to:
Work with trainers to schedule, market and deliver IAP2 training offerings.
Oversee the administration of affiliate-run training.
Support the IAP2 accreditation of additional trainers in the region.
Seek national accreditation of IAP2 training offerings.
Collaborate with trainers and members to identify additional training needs of members and design tailored solutions.
Standards and innovation
The IAP2 Core Values and Code of Ethics underpin the standard of excellence in public participation that IAP2 promotes worldwide. This portfolio focuses on ways to advocate for excellence in public participation in Southern Africa and to support other networks to do the same throughout Africa.

Stay abreast of international developments in standards and accreditation for public participation.
Represent IAP2 SA at public fora (workshops and conferences) and in regional discussions to advocate for excellence in public participation.
Plan and deliver the southern African Core Values Awards for Excellence in Public Participation.
Facilitate the exchange of good practice knowledge and resources via the IAP2SA peer network.
Communications and outreach
IAP2SA currently communicates with members and the public via email, the IAP2SA website, as well as through our LinkedIn and Facebook pages.
