

David N. Morema is the re-elected Chairperson of IAP2 South Africa (IAP2SA) and an experienced urban development and human settlement practitioner with over 25 years of experience. As Chairperson, David has been instrumental in steering IAP2SA's mission to promote excellence in public participation across Southern Africa. Under his leadership, IAP2SA has organised impactful events, such as the “Journey in Time” hybrid conference held on 18 March 2022, which brought together stakeholders from various sectors to discuss the evolving landscape of public participation.
David previously served on the IAP2 International Board, where he contributed to shaping global strategies and policies that enhance public participation practices worldwide.
Beyond his roles in IAP2SA, David is a founding member and partner of Kuhle Solutions and Development Services, a company specialising in human settlement processes. His extensive experience spans senior executive positions in social housing companies, local government, and national associations, focusing on social and rental housing, urban renewal, project management, and institutional development.
David's expertise is further enriched by his international exposure through study tours and forums in Brazil, China, Kenya, the Netherlands, and Canada. These experiences have equipped him with a global perspective on addressing spatial, economic, and social challenges in urban development.
Through his leadership in IAP2SA and his professional endeavours, David continues to champion inclusive decision-making, fostering collaboration between communities, institutions, and policymakers to create sustainable and resilient development initiatives.

Ritta Khiba is based in Windhoek, Namibia and is the founder and principal consultant of Ritta Khiba Planning Consultants (RKPC), a firm focused on sustainable development, strategic planning, environmental management and inclusive stakeholder engagement. She has over 15 years of post graduate experience leading stakeholder engagement processes across development projects, environmental assessments and policy formulation, with a strong focus on participatory planning, community engagement and mentoring young professionals. Ritta holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning (University of the Free State), a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management (Stellenbosch University), an Advanced Diploma in Public Administration (Polytechnic of Namibia), and a Certificate in Leadership and Community Development (University of Johannesburg), and is currently completing a Bachelor of Theology (SATS). She is an IAP2 accredited practitioner and a member of IAP2SA.

Lebogang Molema is a Registered Professional Planner (SACPLAN) with over eight years of experience in human settlements development, social facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and urban and regional planning. She is passionate about inclusive development and the co-production of spaces that balance community aspirations with institutional priorities and policy frameworks.
Lebogang has been extensively involved in informal settlement upgrading, construction projects, and the development of spatial and precinct plans across South Africa. Her project portfolio includes large-scale facilitation and planning initiatives for national, provincial, and municipal clients, contributing to improved coordination between government, implementing agents, and communities. She has worked on projects in Gauteng, Limpopo, North West, Free State, and the Eastern Cape, leading participatory processes that strengthen collaboration, resolve conflict, and build shared ownership of development outcomes.
As a Social Facilitator and Human Settlements Practitioner at Kuhle Solutions, Lebogang brings a people-centred approach to technical planning processes. A proud member of IAP2 South Africa since 2021, she is committed to advancing meaningful public participation and promoting inclusive, transparent decision-making in the built environment.

Noeleen Greyling is the Director of Hero-Makers and previously served as the Social Development and Communications Manager at The Impact Catalyst. She has extensive experience in social research, community development, stakeholder engagement, impact assessment and resettlement planning, with involvement in programmes and projects across the African continent. At Hero-Makers, she supports inclusive and people centred work across community development and empowerment, public participation, capacity building, multi stakeholder partnerships, and evidence based social impact and resettlement planning. She previously served as Board Secretary of IAP2SA and is a certified trainer in Community Engagement and Public Participation through IAP2 International.

Dr Patrick Sithole is a Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (Reg. EAP) with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) and also a Registered Professional Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat.) with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) in the fields of environmental sciences and chemical sciences. Patrick is an environmental, social, resettlement, climate change and sustainability expert with over 22 years of experience on various types of infrastructural projects across Africa.
Patrick previously participated on the National Executive Committee (NEC) for the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA South African Affiliate) in various capacities. He has been involved with various technical forums within the private and public sectors. He currently manages a number of entities and sits on different boards, socio-economic panels and continues to be a technical adviser for several companies.

Snowy is currently the national president for Women In Environment, which was launched by the National Department of Environmental Affairs’ Deputy Minister Mabudafhasi on 22 August 2010. She is also the chairperson of the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa and Hand-in-Hand South Africa.
