IAP2 Federation has launched a new training programme to advance the practice of public participation (P2) globally.
Developed in consultation with P2 practitioners from around the world, Foundations in Public Participation will provide with the structure, techniques, and knowledge required for success in today’s rapidly changing public participation and community engagement landscape. This unique training program delivers a consistent P2 model wherever it is conducted.
“People want and need to be included in the decisions that affect them. Those of us managing community engagement and P2 processes must ensure that it happens in a respectful, positive, and effective way that creates the best possible outcome for all concerned. And that’s where IAP2 Foundations comes in,” said IAP2 Federation Presiding Member Nomi Muthialu.
The Foundations course updates IAP2’s internationally recognised 5-day Certificate training course. Certificates are issued following completion of the program.
